Initial Ideas and research
For the 3D Object, that being the tree ornament, I chose it because I wanted to make something related to Christmas as it was coming up. For the notebook I simply chose the design because I thought it looked cool, and for the water bottle, Terraria is one of my favorite games, so I felt the design would go well on the water bottle.

Notebook
The first of the three projects, the notebook was a fairly simple one for me to do. Using the knowledge I gained from the Illustrator learning day, I made the design with the black being engraved and the thin red lines being cur the cutting. Once the design was done I sent it over to the Laser cutter to make the covers. The next step was to get all of the pages together and punch the holes, which I had a hard time with as the cutting didn't work all of the times and The holes were slightly uneven. Through some grit I got all 20 of the pages attached and the project was finished.

Water Bottle
The water bottle was the easiest of the three for me. I think this was because i had the design quite early on and when the rotation came around I was ready. For me the first step was to translate the images to black and white and edit them to show how I wanted them to. After that it was all stuff I had done before (See Illustrator tab) with the site, though I had to insert the rotary device to hold and turn the water bottle as it was engraved. With all of that done, I had a fully engraved water bottle for me to use!

3D Cut
Finally, We have the 3D Project, which was the Tree ornament. I got a design off of Thingiverse and imported it into Illustrator. From there it was the usual process of making the shape a vector and thinning out the border to be cut. I Initially made it out of cardboard to give it a more wooden look, but the cut didn't come together well and it eventually just tore apart on itself. Soon after I used Mat Board to make it more solid and it all went together very nicely. When the last piece was put on The project was finished and ready for the Christmas Tree!

A Summary of What I learned
In Summary of these three projects, Through some of the hiccups and mishaps, such as with the 3D Cut, I believe I learned a lot about these machines and how to use all of the sites that I needed for the project. This was one of my favorite projects because of the amount of things we got to make in the project and the variety that came with it.
